Independent Living
Friends Homes West provides comprehensive health care management designed to meet the individual needs of residents. A full-time Resident Health Care Coordinator is available for residents in independent living. The coordinator keeps a health assessment for each resident updated annually, plans health education forums and offers clinical and nursing services. A weekly nurse clinic for routine services such as blood pressure checks is also provided for the convenience of residents living independently in apartments. In addition, a Resident Health Care Counselor is available to residents, their families and /or Power of Attorney. The Counselor provides and promotes emotional security.

Assisted Living For residents requiring some help with daily tasks, Assisted Living provides three meals a day, daily housekeeping and laundry services as well as many planned activities. The staff works individually with each resident to encourage independence and is available 24 hours a day to administer medication and assist with the tasks of daily living.
