ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
Full time activity staff at both Friends Homes' communities plan various functions for residents each week. In each community, residents get a weekly printed schedule of events and through the Touch Town system of in-house communication, residents can see community information, menus, activities and important notices on their televisions.
The staff is responsive to the interests of the residents and plans popular activities such as musical programs on a weekly basis. There are numerous off site activities ranging from weekly shopping trips, to attendance at cultural and sporting events in Greensboro. Friends Homes also sponsors a couple of trips each year to popular destinations such as the coast of North Carolina and even to Cape Cod.
