Prospective residents may choose from several different financial options. Most apartments require a one-time entrance fee which is based on the size of the apartment. The monthly service fee covers one or two meals a day, all utilities except telephone, and maintenance and security services. The monthly apartment fees do not include medical care.
Recently Friends Homes partnered with TouchTown out of Pennsylvania to create our own television station. Channel 2 at both campuses provides information on activities and events, weather and time, and special announcements. The station keeps residents up-to-date with what's happening at their community. Staff can add emergency broadcasts that will alert residents to changing weather conditions or other important information. Music plays in the background while slides showing regular activities, special events and meetings, guest presentations, menus for the day, and announcements scroll on the screen. We've even added slides from nature and other places of interest to the show.
