These include intellectual programs, art classes, book clubs, cooking classes, and off-campus excursions. Residents can also take advantage of the resources available at Guilford College, located across the street from the Guilford campus. This includes the chance to audit a class or access the Hege Library and Learning Technologies. Additionally, residents can attend renowned guest speaker events through Guilford's nationally acclaimed Bryan Series.
Friends Homes offers a variety of spaces that promote mental stimulation and enrichment. These spaces include libraries, auditoriums, and game rooms equipped with billiards, ping pong, and other activities. The Gateway Lounge is a great spot to relax and enjoy a movie or a game of cards. The Life Enrichment Center houses multimedia lecture halls that host events such as lifelong learning classes, health talks, and other educational programs.
